Down in Nehru Bazar, specifically in the Radio Market at B-20, you will find Sheeba Electronics. This market has been around for ages and it still has that old feeling where everyone knows everyone else. Our shop is quite small and packed from floor to ceiling with spare parts, circuit boards, and old transistor radios that some people still use. There isn't much room for more than two people to stand inside at once. I usually sit on a wooden stool near the back where I have my soldering iron and a magnifying glass. The smell of hot solder is something you just get used to after a few days of working here. We don't do any flashy advertising because the people who need us usually find us by asking the other shopkeepers in the lane. It can get very hot in the summer because the narrow alleys don't get much breeze. We keep a jug of cold water and some glasses for anyone who stops by. Sometimes people bring in electronics that are so old they don't even make parts for them anymore, but we try our best to find a way to fix them. It is a quiet kind of life despite all the noise of the bazaar outside. We close up when the sun goes down and the main market gates start to rattle shut.
