Sharad Electronics

Our place is at B 14/15/16 on the Subhash Nagar Main Road, so it’s actually a few spots joined together. It’s full of wires, switchboards, and different kinds of bulbs. If you walk in, you’ll see boxes stacked almost to the ceiling. It’s not very organized, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, there’s a smell of solder because we fix a lot of small appliances in the back corner. The main road is always noisy with horns and people shouting, so we have to speak up when talking to customers. We don't bother with fancy displays. The items are just there on the wooden shelves for anyone to see. Sometimes we have to climb the ladder to get a specific ceiling fan or a heater down for someone. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months even with the fans going. We have been here on this road for a long time and have seen the buildings around us change. It’s just a regular electronics store where we sell parts and do small repairs. We keep a ledger for the accounts and write everything down by hand. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning until we pull the shutters down at night. We often have to help people figure out which fuse or wire they actually need for their home, which takes time but it is part of the job.
