Shanti Juniors

Shanti Juniors is located in the Divine Institute Building in Murlipura, Jaipur. We are at number 22. This is a place for the younger kids, so it’s usually quite lively, to say the least. You can hear the toddlers from the street sometimes when they are playing or having their snack time. The building is shared with other things, but our section is easy to spot because of the colorful drawings we put up. We have a small group of staff who spend most of their day tied up with puzzles, crayons, and teaching the alphabet. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. It’s more like a daycare and school mix where we look after the little ones while their parents are at work. Jaipur gets very hot, so we make sure the indoor areas stay cool enough for the kids to nap. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just watch the kids, teach them how to share, and make sure they don't lose their shoes. Parents often come in looking a bit tired after work, and we give them a quick update on how the day went. There are no fancy reports, just honest talk about who ate their lunch and who learned a new song. It’s a small, local operation and we like it that way. The neighborhood is quiet, which helps when the kids are resting.
