Being located on Raj Bhawan Road in Civil Lines means we see a lot of different people passing by every day. This part of Jaipur feels a bit different from the rest of the city, a little more settled and quiet maybe. Our place is at 3-A, and we have been running things here in a very traditional way for many years. We mostly use herbal products because that is what the people around here seem to prefer for their skin and hair. It is a bit quieter than the main markets, which is a nice thing when you are trying to get through a long day of work. We do not have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know how to handle the work. Most of our clients are women who live nearby and have been coming to us forever. We know their names and how they like their hair done without them even having to ask us anymore. The building is a bit older, but it has a certain feel to it that you do not find in the new malls. Sometimes we sit out front when it is not too hot and just watch the cars go by toward the government buildings. It is a steady routine for us. We open the shutters in the morning, dust the shelves, and wait for the first person to walk in.
