Our place is over in Sitapura, specifically at Shop No 2 in the A C Jobner Sukhpuria area. It’s an interesting part of town because it feels quite industrial and busy with people always moving things around. The shop itself is fairly small, but we managed to fit everything we need inside the four walls. Most days start early with opening the heavy shutter, which always makes a bit of a screeching sound that the neighbors probably hate. We spend a lot of time organizing parts and checking on orders that come in. It’s not the cleanest work, and our hands usually end up with some grease or dust on them by lunchtime. There is a small dhaba nearby where we usually grab a quick bite when we get a break. The area can get very hot in the summer months, and the tin roof doesn’t help much, but we have a decent cooler that keeps things bearable. We aren't trying to be anything big or fancy; we just handle the work as it comes to us. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just sit outside on the plastic chairs and chat with the guys from the next shop over. It is a steady way to spend the day, and we like being part of the local cluster here. There’s always someone asking for a wrench or a bit of help, and we try to be useful when we can.
