Rishabh Electronic is located right in the middle of Nehru Bazar Radio Market, specifically at B 21. If you know the radio market, you know it’s a place where you can find almost any small part for a machine. Our shop is packed with boxes from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. We have things for radios, old televisions, and even some newer gadgets that people bring in. It’s not the most organized place in the world, I’ll be honest about that. You might have to wait a minute while I dig through a bin to find a specific transistor or a piece of wire. I’ve lived in this neighborhood my whole life and started working here when I was young. The fans are always humming and there is usually a smell of solder in the air. We don't have any air conditioning, so in the summer, we just keep the doors wide open and use a couple of small table fans. Customers often come in looking for something they can’t find at the big malls. They bring in old circuits and ask if we have a match. We spend a lot of time just talking about how things used to be built better. It’s a steady life. We open around ten and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There’s always something to tinker with while waiting for the next person to walk in. It’s just a regular electronics corner.
