Reliance Mobile Store

Down at Subhash Chowk, right at Chandi Ki Taksal F 1, is where we set up this mobile store. It’s a very busy part of town, so there is always someone poking their head in to ask about a phone cord or a new SIM card. The space is small, so it gets crowded pretty fast if more than three people walk in at once. We have these glass counters that we are constantly cleaning because of all the fingerprints people leave while looking at the phones. Behind the counter, there are drawers full of cables, battery packs, and those tiny little tools you need to open up a phone case. We don't have a back room, so all our extra stock is just kept in boxes stacked under the main table. Sometimes it’s hard to find the right charging cable in the mess, but we eventually get there. The noise from the Chowk is constant, and we usually have to keep the door shut to hear what people are saying. We spend a lot of time explaining how the different data plans work or trying to fix a setting that someone accidentally changed on their screen. It isn't a high-pressure place. We just sit on our stools, drink some water, and help the next person who comes in from the heat outside. It’s just a regular shop in a busy market, and we stay open until the market starts to quiet down.
