D 80 in the VKIA area is where we have been doing our work for quite some time now. Specifically, we are on Road No 7 in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area. The air here is always warm because of the smelting work we do. We have large furnaces that stay hot for most of the day. The ground is dark and covered in ash and bits of slag. Everyone wears heavy boots because the floor gets quite hot near the crucibles. It is a very industrial setting with high walls and lots of metal pipes running along the ceiling. We don't really have a fancy sign, just the address painted on the gate. Trucks come in and out all day long to drop off scrap or pick up the finished metal. We have a small room in the front where we keep the logbooks, but most of the action happens in the back. There is a lot of soot on the rafters. We usually have a radio playing somewhere, but you can barely hear it over the roar of the fires. During the summer, it gets incredibly intense inside, so we drink a lot of salted water. We don't have much of a front office for visitors to sit in. If someone comes by, they usually just stand by the gate and talk to us. It is tough work, but it is what we know. The furnace never really cools down.
