Prabhat Moorti Bhandar

Our shop is at 1740, Zilledaron Ka Chowk, which is along Khajane Walon Ka Rasta. It’s near Indra Bazar, so there’s always a lot of foot traffic and people looking for different things. We work with moortis at Prabhat Moorti Bhandar, so the space is filled with figures in various stages of being finished. Some are just starting out, and others are nearly done. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the materials we use, but that’s just part of the job. We have a few people who sit and work on the details throughout the day. It’s a quiet kind of work, even though the street outside is anything but quiet. People often stop by just to look or ask questions about how things are made. The building is old, with high ceilings and walls that have seen a lot of years. We don’t have any big marketing plans or a fancy office. We just have our tools, our materials, and the space we need to work. It’s a local spot, and most people in the neighborhood know where we are. We follow the same routine every morning, opening up the shutters and getting the workspace ready. It’s steady work that requires a lot of patience. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the work is done properly before it leaves the shop for its new home.
