Pooja Industries

Pooja Industries is located over in Pawanputra H Colony, specifically from numbers 183 to 186. It’s a dusty part of Meenawala on Sirsi Road, out in Panchyawala. I’ve been working here for a while now, and the routine is always the same. We start the machines up early in the morning, and the whole building starts to vibrate a little. It’s a large space with high ceilings and metal beams. We don't have air conditioning, so we just leave the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes off the road. There are stacks of materials everywhere you look. I spend my time checking the production lines and making sure the guys have what they need to keep moving. The noise is constant, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the clanking. It’s honest work, though it gets very hot in the middle of the day. We have a small area where we keep our water bottles and lunch boxes. Sirsi Road is always busy with trucks and motorcycles, and the dust settles on everything by the afternoon. We don’t have a fancy office or any plush furniture. It’s just concrete floors and heavy equipment. We focus on getting the orders out on time. At the end of the shift, my clothes are usually covered in some kind of grime, but that’s just part of the job. It’s a busy, noisy, productive place to be.
