Plant Care

We are over on M I Road, near Vaishali Nagar, not too far from the Jaipur Gpo. Working with plants is a messy business, so our hands are usually covered in dirt. We have all kinds of green things here, from small indoor pots to larger shrubs that people want for their balconies. It’s not a perfectly manicured garden; it’s more of a working nursery where we are constantly repotting things or checking for bugs. The weather in Jaipur can be tough on the leaves, so we spend a lot of time watering and moving things into the shade. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy catalog. If you come by, we just show you what’s growing well this season. Sometimes a batch of saplings doesn't make it, and that’s just part of the job. We sell bags of soil and some basic fertilizers too, for folks who want to do the work themselves. It's a nice change of pace from the busy city streets outside. You can hear the water splashing and see a bit of green amidst all the concrete. We aren't experts with degrees, we just know what works through years of trial and error. People ask us for advice on how not to kill their money plants, and we tell them the honest truth about overwatering. It's a simple life. We just want the plants to survive the summer heat.
