Panpaliya Overseas

You can find Panpaliya Overseas over at 288-289 in the Hawa Mahal Bazar. Being so close to such a famous landmark means there is never a dull moment outside our door. The tourists are always walking by and the pink buildings are all around us. It gets very hot in the summer, but the thick walls of these old buildings help a bit. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things that we prepare for sending overseas. It can get a bit tight when we have a lot of stock, but we manage. We’ve been part of this bazar for a long time. You see the same street vendors every morning when you open up. There is a lot of history in the stones here. We do a lot of our work at the back where it is a bit quieter. Sometimes we have to move things out onto the pavement just to make room to breathe inside. It is a busy, colorful life in the bazar. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or modern furniture, just the old wooden counters and plenty of shelves. The noise of the market is like background music to us now. Dealing with overseas orders from this historic spot feels special in its own way, even if the logistics can be a bit of a headache with the narrow streets and the traffic that never seems to stop.
