Pandey Moorti Wala

We've been based at Pandey Bhawan for a long time now. It’s right there on Khejion Ka Rasta, which is always pretty crowded being in the C.P. Bazar area. Most days at Pandey Moorti Wala, you’ll find us covered in a bit of stone dust because that’s just the nature of the work we do. This isn't a polished showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we get things done. People usually find us by word of mouth or they just stumble across the shop while walking through the bazaar. The building at 1398 has a lot of history for our family. We don't really do the whole fancy marketing thing because everyone is usually too busy with the actual carving. Sometimes the noise from the street gets loud, but we are used to it by now. It’s a local operation, mostly just a few of us making sure the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. No one here is part of a big corporate team. If you come by, you’ll probably see us working right there in the front or moving pieces around. It's honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Living in this area forever means we know most of the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around C.P. Bazar. It’s a good community to be a part of, even if it gets a bit chaotic sometimes with the traffic and those narrow lanes.
