Omshree Gulab Tex Private Limited is based out of a place called Shri Gulab Nikunj. It’s Plot No. 7 in the Kalyanpura Income tax Colony- II in Sanga ner. If you know Sanga ner, you know it’s the heart of the textile and printing world around here. Our spot is a bit more tucked away in the colony, which is actually quite nice because it’s a little quieter than the main market areas. The name of the building, Shri Gulab Nikunj, makes it sound a bit more fancy than it actually is. It’s really just a functional house that we’ve turned into our workspace. We have rolls of cloth in the rooms and desks squeezed into the corners. Most of the day is spent dealing with the printers or checking on the fabric quality. Sanga ner has a very specific feel to it, and being in the Income tax Colony means we are surrounded by other families and small businesses doing the same thing. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just like doing our work. Sometimes the power goes out or the water is a bit slow, but that’s just part of life in this area. We take it as it comes and keep the textile work moving as best as we can. We've been here for several years now and the walls are covered with old calendars and notes. It's home for the business.
