OJJAS HAND CRAFTED TEXTILES LLP

We are based out of Bagru, specifically at Plot Number 3 in the RIICO Phase 2 area. If you know anything about Bagru, you know it’s famous for textiles, and that is exactly what we do at Ojjas Hand Crafted Textiles LLP. Being in the industrial area means we are surrounded by other people doing similar work, which is nice for feeling part of a community. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but this is where the actual production happens and where the printing occurs. The air usually smells like dye and fabric. Our space is functional. We have benches for laying out the cloth and plenty of room for the workers to do their thing without bumping into each other. It’s not a fancy showroom for tourists. It’s a place where work gets done and hands get dirty with the colors. We spend a lot of time checking the prints and making sure the colors look right before anything leaves the building. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of the afternoon and we have to wait a bit, but we are used to that. The team here is small and we all know each other well. We eat lunch together and talk about the day’s work or our families. It’s a steady life and we appreciate it. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make textiles and try to keep things going as much as we can in a modern world.
