We set up Ss Furniture a while back over in the Khirni Phatak Complex. If you know the Jhotwara area, specifically Neemera, you probably passed by us without even thinking about it. We make chairs, tables, and whatever else people need for their houses. The shop isn't super tidy because there is always wood dust and scraps on the floor, but that’s just how a workshop looks. Most of the guys here have been working with wood since they were teenagers. Giant machines aren't really our thing for every task. A lot is still done by hand with basic tools. It takes longer that way but the joints hold up better. A fancy showroom with bright lights isn't part of the budget. Most of our stuff is just stacked up where there's room. People come in, tell us what size bed or cupboard they want, and we get to work. Sometimes we’re a bit late on delivery because someone got sick or the wood didn't arrive on time, but we always finish it. It’s a honest way to make a living. Jhotwara is a busy place and we like being part of the noise here. If you need something sturdy that doesn't cost as much as the big mall stores, we're usually around. Advertising isn't something we spend money on, mostly just people telling their neighbors about us. Sometimes the wood has knots or marks we have to work around. That’s just nature. We try to use every piece so nothing goes to waste. It is just more practical that way for everyone.
