Nagori Electronics

Out here in Kho Nagoriyan, things are a bit slower than the main city center. Our shop is a simple place near the Jaipur GPO area where we deal with electronics. We have a lot of old parts and some new ones too, mostly just whatever the local people need for their homes. The shelves are made of plain wood and they are quite dusty because the wind blows in from the open door all day. We don't have a computer to track everything, just a thick notebook where we write down what we sold and who owes us what. Sometimes a neighbor comes in just to sit for a bit and chat while we are working on a television or a radio. It’s a quiet kind of work. My clothes usually have a bit of grease or dust on them by the end of the day. We don't do any big advertising. People just know we are here because we’ve been here for years. The light in the shop isn't the best, but we have a good lamp for the repair bench. It’s just a small local business trying to help people get their things working again without spending too much money. We close up when it gets dark and walk home. It’s a long day but we like the people around here and the way things move at their own pace.
