Motherland Exports Pvt. Ltd.

Our place is at 54-B in the Jhotwara Riico Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t used to the industrial side of town. Motherland Exports Pvt. Ltd. has been running from this building for quite some time. The building itself is a solid concrete block, nothing fancy to look at from the road. We spend most of our time in the back where the actual work happens. There’s always the hum of machines from the neighbors and the sound of tape dispensers running. We deal with a lot of boxes every day. Sometimes the floor gets crowded when we have a big shipment ready to go. We just move things around until it fits. Our team is small and we don’t really have titles or anything. Everyone just helps out where they can. If someone is behind on packing, another person jumps in. We have a small corner for making tea and that’s where most of our meetings happen, just standing around the kettle. It’s a practical way to run things. We don’t spend money on leather chairs or expensive rugs. We’d rather spend it on keeping the equipment running. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t try to make it seem like more than it is. We just make sure the goods get to where they are supposed to go.
