Mohan Jo Daro Craft

We are located at A-1 in Anand Colony, which is right near that old Ramgarh turn on Amber Road. It is a place that sees a whole lot of people passing by on their way to the forts or just moving through the outskirts of Jaipur. Our workshop is always a bit cluttered with various tools and raw materials sitting around. We make a lot of different crafts here, and you can usually hear the sound of someone working on a project in the back room. It is definitely not a quiet or sterile office. There is always something being hammered, carved, or sanded down. The heat can be a bit much during the summer months, but we have some old fans that help keep the air moving a little bit. We are not trying to be a big fancy brand or anything. We are just local people making things that we have known how to make for a long time. Sometimes the designs do not come out perfectly, but that is just the nature of doing things by hand. We spend a lot of time just looking at the wood or the metal and deciding what we should do next. Visitors sometimes stop in because they happen to see our sign near the turn. We show them around the place, though it is not a formal tour. It is just our workspace where we spend our days. It is a bit messy and there is always something to clean up.
