Mobile India

People have been coming to see us at B-127 in Indira Bazar for quite a while now. This area is always moving and there is so much noise from the street, but once you step inside, it is just us and the phones. We spend most of our time looking at cracked screens or trying to figure out why a battery won't hold a charge anymore. It is a small shop, honestly. We have glass counters filled with different chargers, cables, and some back covers that have been sitting there for months. It isn't a fancy showroom with bright lights and suits. It’s just a place where you can get your mobile fixed or pick up a secondhand handset if you’re short on cash. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break, but usually, there is someone waiting for a repair. We don't do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here because they walked past us a hundred times or a neighbor told them to come. The floor is a bit worn out and the walls could use some new paint, but it works for what we do. We like the regular rhythm of the bazaar. Every day brings someone with a different problem, and we just try to get it sorted so they can go about their day. It’s a simple life running a shop like Mobile India.
