Mayank Mobiles

Down in Akhepura, at G 23, that’s where you’ll find Mayank Mobiles. It is a small shop, maybe smaller than what most people expect. We have been in this part of Akhepura for some time. The walls are lined with different phone cases and we have a small counter where we do all the work. It’s mostly just one or two of us here at any given time. We spend a lot of our day dealing with small parts that are easy to lose if you aren't careful. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see people in suits. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to the people who live around G 23. The shop gets a bit of sun in the afternoon which makes it bright, but also a bit hot. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they have to wait. There’s always some radio playing in the background or just the sound of the street. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes in. Sometimes we have a lot of work and the bench is covered in phones, and other times we just wait for someone to need a recharge. It’s a basic shop and we like it that way. No big talk, just fixing things and selling phones. We try to be helpful when we can and get things done.
