Marble Artifacts

At Marble Artifacts, we are based out in Thikiriya, which is part of the Vaishali Nagar side of things. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but this is where the work gets done. There is always a layer of white dust over everything here. It comes with the territory when you are dealing with stone all day long. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s more of a workshop where you can hear the tools going from morning until the sun sets. Thikiriya has a lot of places like ours, but we just focus on what is in front of us. My hands are usually covered in grit, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. But that is just how it is. We make things out of marble and that takes time and a lot of elbow grease. People come out to Vaishali Nagar to see us because they want something real, not something made in a factory out of plastic. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the material. The yard is full of slabs and half-finished pieces. It might look like a mess to someone passing by, but we know where everything is. It’s a simple business. We get the stone, we work the stone, and then someone takes it home. That is about it. It’s heavy work but we are used to it by now. We just keep at it every single day of the week.
