Mahima International

You can find Mahima International at 3968, Rasta M.S.B., which is right in the heart of Johari Bazar. If you’ve ever walked through the bazaar, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Our shop is tucked away in one of those busy streets. We spend our days surrounded by the sounds of the market and the smell of nearby food stalls. The space we have is small but we make it work. We handle various goods and most of our time is spent packing things up for transport. The narrow lanes make it a bit of a challenge when we have a lot of stock coming in. We usually have to move things by hand or use small carts. It’s a lot of physical work and the air can get pretty hot in the summer months. We keep a fan going all day just to stay comfortable. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just buy and sell and make sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. Most of the people around here have been in the bazaar for decades. We know the tea seller on the corner and the other shopkeepers nearby. It feels like a community even when it’s chaotic. We just show up, do the work, and try to keep things organized in a place that is naturally messy.
