We are Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited. It is a bit of a long name but that is what we are called. We stay in Aatarda, which is a village near Nainwa. If you are looking for us, you have to go to Chouthmal’s place. That is where we keep our papers and meet up after work. We are just local farmers who decided to join together instead of working all by ourselves. It gets lonely out there and being a group makes things a little easier when we need to figure out the crops. The weather here in Nainwa can be tricky sometimes, but we manage. Most days we are just out in the dirt. We do things the organic way because that is how we feel it should be done here. It takes more time and my hands are always stained, but it feels right for the land. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have a small space and our tools. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when we want, and sometimes it comes too much, but that is just part of being a farmer in this area. We started this company to help each other out with seeds and stuff. It is not a corporate thing with people in suits. It is just us, the people you see in the village every day, trying to make a living from the ground. We hope it works out.
