Our shop, Laxmi Narain Radha Krishan, is situated at 189 in Kishanpole Bazar. This area is full of old buildings and narrow lanes that have been here for generations. Being at number 189 means we are part of a very traditional market. We do not have a fancy website or a lot of modern decorations. The shop has a very simple look, with wooden shelves and old-style counters. We handle various goods and the work changes depending on what people are looking for that day. Kishanpole Bazar is a place where everyone knows everyone. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the people who stop by, even if they are not buying anything right then. The pace is a bit different here. We do not like to rush things. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and settle in for the day. There is a certain smell to the air in this part of the city, a mix of spices and old stone. Sometimes it gets very crowded with rickshaws and shoppers, and the noise can be a lot. We have been at 189 for a long time, and the shop is like a second home to us. We keep our records in big paper ledgers because that is how we have always done it. It is a practical, honest way to run a business. We just serve the community here in Kishanpole Bazar as best as we can every single day.
