Lakshmi Beauty Parlour

Lakshmi Beauty Parlour is at Plot No 9 in Ganesh Colony, which is in the Imli Phatak area of Jaipur. We are located near the fatak, so you can often hear the sound of the trains passing by if it is quiet enough. The shop is a straightforward setup in a residential neighborhood. We have two chairs and a big mirror that we keep as clean as possible. There is a small bench where people can sit and wait, usually with a few old fashion catalogs to look at. The walls are painted a simple off-white. We do all the basic things like threading, waxing, and hair trims for women and children. The lady who runs the place has been doing this for many years, so she knows many of the families in Ganesh Colony. It is a very local vibe here. We talk about the local school or the price of groceries while we work. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it neat, but hair gets everywhere. We have a small sink in the corner for hair washes. The lighting is just normal bulbs, nothing fancy. It gets quite warm in the summer, so the fan is always on high speed. People just drop in without appointments most of the time. It is a small, reliable place for the people living nearby to get their grooming done without going into the main city.
