About Krishna Arts – Housewares & Supplies in Jaipur
We’ve been here at 111/238 in Agarwal Farm for quite a while now. My father started Krishna Arts when the area looked a lot different than it does today. Back then, there weren't so many houses around us. Now, it’s busy all the time. We spend most of our mornings unpacking crates and checking if anything broke during the move from the workshop. It is dusty work, honestly. We don't have a big fancy showroom with air conditioning that works all the time, just a few rooms filled with pieces we’ve collected or made over the months. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and talk to the guys from the shop next door. People come in looking for specific things for their homes, and usually, it takes us a few minutes to find exactly where we put it. The back room is a bit of a mess with all the bubble wrap and tape lying around. We try to keep things organized, but when three orders come in at once, that plan usually goes out the window. It’s a small operation here. Just me, my cousin, and two other guys who help with the heavy lifting. We mostly just focus on getting the work done and making sure the items get to the customers in one piece. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood.
