Kraft & Krafts

Ajmer Road is always busy with trucks and cars going past. Our place, Kraft & Krafts, sits right there. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we manage. We’ve got a small team here. Most of us have been working together for years. We know each other’s habits. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. The work is steady. We don't do anything flashy. We just take the orders and get them done. Some days are better than others. When it rains, the roof leaks a little in the corner, so we move the stuff to the middle of the room. It’s just part of being here. We use old tools mostly. They still work fine, so there is no reason to change them. The light isn't the best in the evening, so we try to finish the tricky parts while the sun is still up. My neighbor helps out when we have too much to carry. It feels like a neighborhood thing more than a business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us on Ajmer Road. We try to be honest about how long things take. If it’s going to be a week, we say a week. No point in lying about it. That’s just how we run things. We usually lock up around seven when the traffic dies down a bit.
