Jaisalmer Arts & Crafts

Jaisalmer Arts & Crafts is located at 7-8, right opposite the Ayurved College. We are inside Jorawar Singh Gate on Amer Palace Road. It is a lively area with plenty of people walking by to see the sights. The gate is quite old and you can feel the history when you walk through it. Our space is tucked in there among the other shops and the daily bustle of the road. Sometimes the traffic gets backed up near the college, especially in the mornings when students are arriving. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long from here. We have been at this spot for a good while. The walls of the building are thick, which helps a bit with the heat in the summer months. Across the street, the college is a big building that everyone knows, so it makes it easy to tell people where we are. We see a lot of tourists and locals passing by our door on their way to the palace. The sidewalk is usually crowded with people and sometimes cows wander through. It is just the way things go on Amer Palace Road. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name on the front. We spend most of our time inside the shop, keeping things organized and dealing with whatever comes through the door. It’s a simple setup but it works for us.
