Jaipur Carpets Musium

Jaipur Carpets Musium is located at 56, right opposite the Gramin Police Line on Ajmer Road. It is a busy stretch of road, especially with all the people heading toward Jal Mahal, which is quite close to us. Even though we call it a Musium, it is really just our place where we keep a huge variety of carpets on display for people to see. We have been in this spot for a while, and the building has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint now and then. Inside, it is much cooler than out on the street. We spend our days unrolling carpets for visitors and talking about where each one came from. The traffic noise from Ajmer Road is constant, but you get used to it after a few days. We are right across from the police line, so there is always some activity nearby. We don’t really do fancy presentations. If you come in, we just show you what we have piled up. Some of the carpets are quite old and others are newer, but they all take up a lot of space. We keep the doors open mostly to catch a breeze. It’s a simple life here, just managing the collection and making sure the dust doesn't settle too thick on the wool. Most people stop by because they saw the sign while driving past.
