JAI TEXART LLP

If you are walking through Chandpole Bazar, you have to look up to find JAI TEXART LLP. We are on the first floor, right above shops 36 and 37. The bazaar is always a mess of people, rickshaws, and cows, so it takes a bit of patience just to get to the stairs. The stairwell is narrow and a bit dark, but once you get up to our floor, it opens up a bit. We have windows that look down onto the street, and the noise from the market never really stops. We deal with a lot of textiles, so the place is full of color. There are stacks of fabric everywhere you look. It is a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend the day measuring out cloth and talking to customers who make it up the stairs. It gets quite warm up here, especially in the middle of the day when the sun is hitting the building. We have some old fans that help a bit. Most of the people working here have been in the textile trade for a long time. We know the other merchants in the bazaar, and we often send out for tea from the same guy who has been there for years. It is a very traditional way of working. We don't have a computer system for everything; a lot of it is still done with a pen and a notebook. It is just the way we have always done it in this part of town.
