About Indo Mughal Marble Arts – Housewares & Supplies in Jaipur
Out here on New Ramgarh Road, near the Enar Karbala Choraha, the air is often thick with a bit of dust. That is just how it is when you work with marble and stone all day at Indo Mughal Marble Arts. We have been at this B-1 spot for a good while, and most people around here recognize the sound of tools hitting stone. It is hard work, and our hands usually show it. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it is more of a practical workspace where things actually get made. You will see blocks of stone piled up and pieces in various stages of being finished. Sometimes the noise from the road gets loud, especially with the traffic coming through the choraha, but we are used to it by now. The staff here knows their way around a chisel and a polisher. We spend our mornings sorting through materials and our afternoons trying to get the details right on whatever project is on the bench. It’s a messy business, to be honest. There’s always slurry on the floor and white powder on the shelves. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure the stone looks the way it should before it leaves the gate. It isn't a fast process, but we take the time that is needed for the material we have.
