Indian Carpet & Textiles

We've been here near the reserve pole for quite some time now. Indian Carpet & Textiles is just a regular shop where we handle floor coverings and various fabrics. The building is simple, and if you know the Govindpuri area in Govind Nagar, we aren't hard to find. Most days involve just sorting through stock or talking to folks who walk in looking for something specific for their house. It gets a bit dusty with all the rugs, but that is just how it goes in this trade. Sometimes people ask where the name came from, but it just seemed right for what we sell. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It's more of a workspace where things are piled up and moved around daily. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we opened, yet we stay here in the same spot. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but people manage to find us. We keep the lights on and the doors open throughout the week. You might see us unloading a truck or just sitting by the entrance when things are quiet. There is nothing too special about how we do things, just showing up and doing the work. Usually, there is some tea going if you happen to stop by in the afternoon. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the inventory is organized, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider.
