H I C S

H I C S is over at D-11 in Indirapuri, right off Tonk Road in Jaipur. It is quite close to the New Vidhan Sabha, so the area feels a bit official and important. The roads around here are usually kept pretty clean compared to other parts of the city. Our building is a simple one, nothing too flashy or modern. I have a small office space where I keep all the files and the computer. The walls are painted a light cream color that has faded a bit over the years. I think about repainting them every spring, but then I get busy and forget about it. There is a small patch of garden out front, though it's mostly just a few hardy plants that don't need much water. The commute here is okay if you avoid the peak hours on Tonk Road. I usually bring my lunch from home and eat it at my desk while looking out the window at the people walking by. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time. We have some wooden chairs that are quite old but still very sturdy. Sometimes I hear the sirens from the main road, but mostly it is just the sound of the keyboard clicking. We have been in this Indirapuri location for a good while now. Most of the people who come by are locals or people who work nearby. It’s just a regular, honest place to work.
