Astech Compupower Pvt Ltd is based at E 428 in Lalkothi, right behind Sanjay Public School. It is a relatively quiet spot compared to the main roads, which is nice when you are trying to concentrate on technical work. We have been here for a good number of years, focusing on power solutions and computer-related hardware. The office is basically a converted residential space, so it has a very homey and informal atmosphere. You will see stacks of UPS units, batteries, and computer parts scattered around the rooms. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. Most of our work is done on the bench, fixing things or setting up systems for customers. Because we are near the school, we get the sound of kids playing during recess, which breaks up the silence of the office. We are just a small team of technicians and office staff who know each other well. We don't put on any airs or pretend to be a giant corporation. When a customer calls with a power problem, we just try to figure out the simplest way to get them back up and running. It is a lot of troubleshooting and testing, day in and day out. We like being in Lalkothi because it is central and easy for people to find once they get off the main road. The paperwork is always there, but we prefer the hands-on part of the job more than anything else.
