You can find us at 38 Ajmeri Gate, inside the New Atish Market in Gopal Pura. It’s right near Gujar Ki Thadi, which is always a hive of activity. Being in New Atish Market means you’re surrounded by other traders and people constantly looking for deals. The name Gridhar Gopal Jhawar has been around for a while now. It’s a family name and we try to keep things running the way they always have been. The shop is usually crowded with stock, and there’s barely enough room for three people to stand comfortably at the front counter. That’s just the way it is in these markets. We start early in the morning when the trucks arrive, and we don’t usually head home until the market starts to quiet down late in the evening. There’s a lot of shouting and haggling going on outside our door every day. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. Our focus is just on what we have in stock and getting it to the people who need it. We’ve known some of our customers for twenty years or more. They come in for a chat as much as they do for business. It’s a busy, messy, and loud way to make a living, but we wouldn’t really know what else to do with ourselves. It’s just how things are done here in Gopal Pura. We just keep moving and hope for a good trading day.
