Gomati & Sons

We are over at A - 141, and the business is called Gomati & Sons. It’s a family-run operation, as you can probably tell by the name. My father started things off, and now we’re the ones keeping it going. The address is pretty straightforward, and we’ve been in this same spot for as long as I can remember. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment or a big shiny storefront. It’s mostly just us, a few workers, and a whole lot of stone. The yard at A - 141 is where we spend most of our time. It’s not always the neatest place, especially when we’re in the middle of a big job, but we know where everything is. We handle all sorts of orders, some big and some very small. We don’t treat them any differently. To us, it’s just about getting the work done so we can go home at the end of the day. We’ve learned a lot about stone over the years, mostly by just working with it every day. You get a feel for the texture and the weight after a while. We aren't the type to use big words or try to impress anyone. If you come by, you’ll likely see us in our work clothes, probably moving some slabs around or checking the inventory list. It’s a quiet life in some ways, but we like the honesty of the work. We just keep our heads down and keep moving.
