J. D. Pipe Industries

We are located over at H- 139 on Road No. 4 in the Riico area. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of noise and trucks moving around. J. D. Pipe Industries has been here for a while, just focusing on making the pipes. It’s a lot of metal and machinery. The floor is usually covered in some kind of grease or shavings, which is just part of the factory life. We don't have a polished front office. Most of the time, we are back on the floor checking the machines. It’s hot in the summer and the noise can be a bit much if you aren't used to it. We just make sure the pipes are coming out right. We aren't a huge corporation, just a local outfit doing our part in the industrial park. Most of our guys have been working these same machines for years. We know the quirks of the equipment. If a machine makes a weird sound, we usually know what’s wrong before we even look. It’s not a glamorous job, but pipes are needed for everything, so we stay busy. People come by to pick up orders and we just load them up and send them on their way. It’s a practical business without any of the extra fluff you see elsewhere. The clock on the wall has been stuck for months, but we all know when it's time to head home. We just put in the hours and make sure they are built right for the jobs they're meant for.
