Laxmi Pipes Company

Laxmi Pipes Company is located at Shop No. 1 in the M. G. D Market on Narol Road. We are the first shop you see when you walk into this section of the market. It’s a small space, but we pack a lot of pipes into it. Every corner is filled with different sizes and types of metal. Sometimes it feels like a puzzle trying to get a specific pipe out from the bottom of a stack. Narol Road is always humming with activity, especially in the mornings when the market opens up. We spend a lot of time out on the sidewalk, helping load pieces onto rickshaws or small trucks. Our hands are usually a bit greasy from handling the metal, but that’s just part of the job. Inside the shop, it’s a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. We’ve got an old wooden counter where we write out the bills by hand. There isn't any fancy computer system here. We just know our stock by heart. The market is a noisy place, with everyone shouting and engines idling, but we’ve grown to like the energy of it. We usually share a pot of tea with the shopkeeper next door around ten in the morning. It’s a steady life, selling pipes and chatting with the locals who come through M. G. D Market every day. We close up when the market gets quiet.
