We are located right in the middle of Kishanpole Bazar at number 120. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know how crowded and lively it gets every single day. The shop has been in the family for a long time. It’s one of those old-school places where the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. We have to use ladders just to get things down for customers. My brothers and I run the place together. It can get a bit chaotic when we have four or five people asking for different things at the same time, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes in. The bazar has changed a lot, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We sell traditional goods and everyday items that people in this part of the city need. It’s a lot of talking to neighbors and regular customers who have been coming to us since they were kids. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that have been humming for decades. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news between sales. It’s a simple life in a historic part of town. We just try to keep the inventory stocked and the customers happy with what they buy.
