Gatimaan Spintex is based out of Shop No. G-22 in the textile market over in Jagatpura. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s a bit of a maze. There are shops everywhere and people always shouting about prices or where to park their scooters. Our shop isn't very big, but we manage to fit a lot into it. We deal with spinning and textiles, so there’s always a bit of lint in the air. The morning usually starts with opening the shutters and sweeping out the dust that blew in overnight. Jagatpura is growing fast, but the market still feels like the old days. We know the other shopkeepers, and we often share tea from the stall around the corner. It’s a simple life. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us and the goods. When customers come in, they usually know what they want, so we don't have to do much talking. We just pull the rolls down and show the material. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives, and we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling. But we make it work. It’s a practical setup. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with fancy furniture. We just want to make sure the fabric is good and the orders go out on time. The market gets quiet after sunset, and that is when we finally close up.
