Garden Shop

The Garden Shop is located at 312 Raja Park Street No 6. Raja Park is always moving and Street Number 6 has its own little rhythm. We are surrounded by other shops and houses, so it feels very much like a community spot. At number 312, we have plants lined up whenever we can fit them. The smell of wet soil and green leaves is a nice break from the city smells outside. It’s a narrow shop and we have to be careful not to knock over the pots when we are moving around. We spend a lot of our time watering the inventory and making sure everything looks healthy. People from the neighborhood walk by all day and some of them have been coming to us for years just to chat about their own gardens. The street can get pretty jammed with scooters and cars, especially in the evenings. We don't have a lot of space for a big office, so most of our business happens right there at the front counter. It’s a bit messy with dirt and watering cans, but that is part of the charm. We like being in Raja Park because there is always something happening. The sun hits the front of the shop in the morning and that’s when the plants look their best. It’s a simple, honest little shop in a busy part of town.
