Ganesh Traders

We’ve been here at Sanganer Kisaan Market for quite a while now. Diggi Malpura Road stays busy from sunrise to sunset with all the farmers and traders moving around. We handle a lot of different goods at Ganesh Traders. It is dusty most of the time because of the trucks, but we like the spot well enough. People usually start coming by in the early mornings, and that is when we are the busiest. It’s just a regular shop. Nothing fancy about the walls or the floor. My brother and I manage most of the daily work ourselves. We try to keep the items people ask for most on the front shelves. If something is not in stock, we do our best to get it by the next day. The traffic outside is always loud and sometimes it's hard to hear the customers. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside for a bit. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s hard work and long hours, but it keeps us going. Most of our customers are regulars from the nearby villages. We know their names and how they like to do business. It feels more like a community than just a marketplace. We open early every single day. Some days are very slow, so we just sit and drink chai. Other days we don't even have a minute to eat our lunch. That's just how business is.
