G. S. Marbles

We've been over here on Govind Marg for quite some time now. G. S. Marbles is just a local spot in Adarsh Nagar where we keep a variety of stones. It’s mostly just a few of us working here every day, moving slabs around and helping people find what they need for their floors or kitchens. The yard at A-6 can get a bit dusty, especially when the trucks come in, but that’s just how it is with this kind of work. We aren't a big fancy showroom with bright lights and coffee machines. It's more of a place where you walk in, look at the stacks, and see what catches your eye. Sometimes we have a lot of white marble, other times it's mostly darker stuff, depending on what we've managed to get in. People from the neighborhood usually just stop by when they're fixing up a bathroom or a small corner of their house. We don't do much talking, we just show you the pieces. Dealing with stone is heavy work, and we've gotten used to the grit of it. If you're looking for us, we’re right there near the main stretch of the market. It’s a simple setup. We try to keep things organized, but marble is heavy and takes up space. We just focus on getting the slabs out to the customers without making a big fuss about it. Just a regular business doing its thing on the street.
