G C Electronics

We’ve been here at 257 Johari Bazar for quite a while now. If you know this part of the city, you know how packed it gets, especially in the afternoons when the sun is hitting the street just right. G C Electronics isn’t a fancy showroom with glass walls and bright neon lights. It’s more of a place where we keep the shelves stocked with whatever we think people might need that day. Most mornings start with clearing the dust off the counter and getting the tea stall guy to bring over a few cups for the boys. We deal with all sorts of electronic bits and pieces. Some days are just filled with people asking for things we ran out of yesterday, which is frustrating but that’s how it goes. The shop stays open late because there’s always one more person trying to find a specific fuse or a wire before they head home. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we can barely hear what the customers are saying. We just point at things until we get it right. It’s a busy life here in the bazar. We don’t have much room to move around behind the counter once the new stock arrives on Tuesdays. You just learn to navigate around the boxes. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s what we do every day at G C Electronics. We’ve seen the shops around us change hands many times, but we’re still here at number 257. It’s just how we live our lives.
