Design First

Our office is tucked away in the E-702 part of Tonk Road in Jaipur. It’s in the Lal Kothi area, specifically on Nakul Path. If you are familiar with this part of the city, you know it’s a mix of residential houses and small businesses. We spend a lot of our time here working through different design projects. It isn’t a massive corporate floor, just a regular space where we get things done. Most mornings start with a quick cleanup and checking the messages left from the day before. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main road, which helps when we need to concentrate on a tricky layout. We see a lot of people from around the neighborhood stopping by. Sometimes it’s just to ask for directions, and other times it is about a project they have in mind. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of paper samples lying around. The light in the afternoon is actually quite good through the front window. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re usually too busy with the work itself. Jaipur has its own style, and being in Lal Kothi puts us right in the middle of it. We like it here because everything we need is close by, from the local market to the printers.
