Deepak Mobile World

If you know Indira Bazar, you know how crowded it gets, and Deepak Mobile World is right in the middle of that at S-95. Our shop is small, but we pack it with as many phone covers, chargers, and cables as we can fit on the walls. It’s always noisy with the traffic outside and people haggling over prices. We spend a lot of our day sitting behind the counter, opening up phones to see why they won't charge or why the speaker stopped working. Sometimes the tiny screws get lost on the floor, and we have to hunt for them with a magnet. We don't have a fancy waiting area, so customers usually just stand and watch us work or go get a tea nearby while they wait. The light in the shop is a bit harsh, but we need it to see the small circuits. We get all kinds of people coming in, some looking for the cheapest earphones and others wanting a brand-new screen. We try to be fair with what we charge, though sometimes parts prices go up and we have to explain that. It’s a fast-paced environment where we are constantly talking and fixing things at the same time. By the time we close the shutters at night, our eyes are usually tired from looking at those small screens all day. It’s a busy life, but we like being right where all the action is in the market.
