Dayodaya Exim is based out of Tagore Nagar, specifically at D-146 in M.R. Colony. We deal with export and import stuff, which sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is. Most of my day is spent on the phone or looking at papers and shipping labels. Tagore Nagar is a busy residential area, so we try to keep things quiet so the neighbors don't get annoyed with us. We aren't some giant shipping corporation with a skyscraper. It’s just a small office where we handle the logistics of moving goods. Sometimes things get stuck at the port or the paperwork is a mess, and that’s when it gets stressful. But mostly, we just make sure things get from point A to point B. I started this because I saw a gap in how local goods were being moved out. It’s been a learning process for all of us here. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website that works perfectly. It’s more about the relationships we have with the suppliers. If you come by the office, you’ll probably see a lot of files and a tea kettle always going. We don't put on airs here. Dealing with international trade from a colony like this has its challenges, but it works for us. We are just a small group of people trying to make the trade business work. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night.
