Dariyav Dhani

Dariyav Dhani is located on Tonk Road at 15 16. It’s a place where we serve food that feels like home. We’ve got a bit of space here, so it doesn't feel too cramped. Tonk Road is always moving, with trucks and buses going past at all hours. We opened up because we saw a lot of people looking for a place to sit and eat without it being a big deal. We have heavy wooden tables and the floor is a bit uneven in places. We cook things the way we learned from our parents. There’s no head chef or anything, just us in the kitchen. We get a lot of travelers who are passing through town. They usually look pretty tired, so we just give them their food and let them be. The lights flicker a bit sometimes when the power acts up, but we have a backup generator. It’s a lot of work keeping a kitchen running seven days a week. We start early with the prep work, chopping onions and getting the spices ready. It’s a messy job but someone has to do it. We don't have a big sign, just the name over the door. People find us anyway. It’s a good spot to just sit for a while and eat something warm.
