Crafts N Silver

Our place, Crafts N Silver, is at 17 Sahkar Nager on Khatipura Road in Jhotwara. It’s a bit away from the main city center of Jaipur, which is actually quite nice. We have our workshop and storage here. It gets quite hot in the summers, so we start early in the morning to get the main work done before the midday heat hits. We work with silver and different crafts. It’s a hands-on job, so there’s always some mess on the workbenches. We don’t have a big sales team; we just make the items and send them out. The neighborhood is mostly residential and small shops, so it’s fairly quiet compared to the big markets. We’ve got a few local guys who have been with us for a long time. We sit around and talk while we work. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We don't put on any acts for visitors. If you come by, you’ll see us in our work clothes, probably covered in a bit of polish or dust. We just focus on making things that look decent. It’s a simple trade that we’ve been doing for years. We like being in Jhotwara because it feels like a real community. Crafts N Silver is just our way of making a living doing what we know best.
